Renowned Sports Journalist Sean Cardovillis passed on at his house in Nairobi. Police reports have revealed that his body was found outside his residence along Rhapta Road in Westlands, Nairobi. Further, it is indicated that Sean’s body was discovered by a cleaner on the stairs of his residence.
As a sports journalist, Sean worked at Capital FM before moving to Seychelles where he also worked as a Sports Journalist for Paradise FM before returning to Kenya. After his return, he worked at Nation Media Group for about six (6) years. Earlier this year in June 2013, he shared a post (formerly known as a tweet) saying, “I’m BACK! After 18 years, it’s great to return to @CapitalFMKenya. I’ll be presenting the sports updates Mondays to Fridays, and also presenting Saturday Music & Sports as we rebrand sports at the station. I start on Monday at Kenya’s number one radio station. #seanknows“
He was particularly passionate about motorsport and was a well-known figure in the Kenyan Motorsport. Sean was active during the recently concluded World Rally Championship in Kenya in June this year meeting and interviewing high-profile officials present.
