The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced fuel prices for the period between January 15 to February 14, 2025. In its latest review, the authority has marginally increased the pump prices for petrol, diesel and kerosene.

“In the period under review, the maximum allowed petroleum pump price for Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene increase by Kshs. 0.29/litre, Kshs. 2.00/litre and Kshs. 2.00/litre. In Nairobi, Super Petrol, Diesel & Kerosene will retail at Kshs.176.58, 167.06 & 151.39 effective midnight.” read part of the statement.


Fuel Prices and the Dollar
Following this announcement, a number of Kenyans have raised concern over the increased fuel prices despite the dollar having stabilized for quite a period of time. Another concern was why there was an increase in petroleum price yet EPRA in their statement stated that the average landed price of Super Petrol and that of Kerosene decreased by 0.14% and 1.62% respectively.
