BasiGo has today announced the completion of its first locally assembled E9 Kubwa E-Buses. A statement on its Twitter Page read, “We are proud to share that we have completed our first locally assembled E9 Kubwa E-Buses! These buses arrived as parts from our supplier, CHTC, and were fully built by our partners at KVM. BasiGo E-Buses will now proudly bear the mark: #BuiltInKenya #BasiGoDelivers“
E9 Electric Bus Features
The post by BasiGo was accompanied by a video of the Electric Bus. According to basigo.com, the E9 is a 9-meter, fully-electric bus with seating capacity for 36-passengers and safe standing capacity for an additional 18 passengers. It has the ability to recharge in less than 2 hours and can operate up to 400km per day. It is much bigger than the other 25 seater K6 Electric Bus has a range of 250 Kilometre of silent, emissions-free driving range and a recharge time of less than 4 hours.
The interior that features leather seats, WiFi, CCTV Cameras, and USB charge points. The E9 provides Comfort, Convenience, and Connectivity for Passengers. It has guaranteed uptime through BasiGo Service Real-time tracking and operations data. he driver’s seat is shock absorbing, relieving the driver fatigue and improves safety.
The interior CCTV cameras and a rear view camera give the driver full visibility into everything taking place on the bus. The smart digital dashboard helps drivers monitor all systems including battery charge and driving efficiency. Passengers in his bus ride in quiet comfort with high-back, leather seats, purpose-built handrails for standing passengers, and priority seating for passengers in need. Currently, Super Metro owns one though it was not assembled in Kenya.
